Forgotten 2600 game given new life

Bermuda is a very good remake of an obscure Atari 2600 game of the same name. The game plays much in the same way as the classic River Raid. You control a plane with the goal of shooting down enemy ships and subs while maintaining fuel levels and avoiding icebergs. The graphics and sound are extremely accurate. The only control option is tilt controls, left/right to move the desired direction and forward/backward to adjust speed, and tap anywhere to shoot. I am not a big fan of tilt only controls, especially on iPad games, but they are very responsive here. A touch control option should be included as an option, however. The menu screen also seems a bit bland, but it serves its purpose to get you into the game immediately.

Retro fans will have a great time with this well executed port. Well worth the asking price.
